In recent years, more and more mature markets and large movie viewing groups have provided fertile soil for the development of the film and television industry, and promoted the better and faster development of the domestic film and television industry. The film and television market is growing vigorously with the development of high-quality content works, strong policy support, and blowout growth in market demand.
The 13th Five-Year Plan stresses that the cultural industry will become a pillar industry, and Chinese films are expected to usher in a new golden period of development opportunities. At the same time, our country is strongly supporting and encouraging legal persons who engage in film activities and other organizations to participate in the talents training of universities.
Therefore, it is planned that Guangxin Film Industry Co., Ltd., Hubei Dongxifang Culture Communication Co., Ltd and Wuchang University of Technology will be the initiators to set up a university-enterprise cooperative organization-Hubei University Film and Television Union by gathering influential film companies and well-known universities in China. Subsequently, a film and television entrepreneurship support fund of no less than RMB 5 million per year will be set up with collective funding from members of the organization. The fund of the film and television will be used by the organization or its member units, which aims to support the creative team or thoughtful college students with works, and to provide the shooting funds and guidance for college students, as well as the service of realizing the film and television dream.
The union is an organization that integrates the superior resources of the government, enterprises, media and the public, develops independently, and hosts or undertakes various types of film and television planning, dissemination, exhibition and competition activities. It can provide systematic and targeted operation carriers, communication platforms and interactive bridges for media promotion and public relations. It focuses on cultural undertakings, gathers the strength of society, and jointly creates excellent film and television works to provide practical platform for college students, to train excellent film and television practitioners, and to provide support for universities' project declaration. The aim is to build the union into a well-known and influential organization in Hubei and even in the whole country, to provide a platform for college students to learn, create and catch up the development of the society, and successfully realize their self-worth.
The operation mode of the Film and Television Union can be divided into the following categories:
1. The union will attract students or teachers who are passionate, thoughtful, and interested in creation by organizing film and television script creation competitions every year. The temporary review committee chosen from Union Committee of Experts will select excellent works. Those excellent works can be shot into micro-films or big online movies or cinematic movies by purchasing copyright or direct participation of the creators in the production.
2. Through the competition of film and television creation, photography creation and other major competitions, we can excavate the excellent talents of creation, photography, planning and other aspects. After choosing, we will sign a group of experienced and competent talents to form contract system, and constitute the creative team, photography team and planning team. We will give full play to the utilization of talents, improve the enthusiasm of creators, and help them create excellent film and television works with high market value.
3. We will hold a series of lectures from time to time to provide a series of technical support and theoretical guidance for students who like creation and love film and television. Thereafter, in the shooting project, we will attract a certain number of college students who are interested in film and television creation, and provide them with practical opportunities to accumulate film and television creation experience.
4. Together with Chinese, Chinese Language and Literature, Lilm and Television and other related majors, various literary societies, film and television associations, and creative students, we will create a college creation base of film script. We will actively cultivate potential young writers or related creative enthusiasts to create the commercial film script.
5. We will pay attention to the quality of the works, strive to create high-quality products, and lay the foundation for winning good reputation. Secondly, we will integrate the strength of universities, develop a high-quality production team, and provide the union with market-appealing IP, high-quality micro-films, and big movies.
